The Statler Brothers : The Statler Brothers were an American country music, gospel, and backing vocal group for Johnny Cash. The quartet was founded in 1955 in Staunton, Virginia. Originally performing gospel music at local churches, the group billed themselves as The Four Star Quartet, and later The Kingsmen. In 1963, when the song "Louie, Louie" by the garage rock band also called The Kingsmen became famous, the group elected to bill themselves as The Statler Brothers. Despite the name, only two members of the group (Don and Harold Reid) are actual brothers and none have the surname of Statler. The band, in fact, named themselves after a brand of facial tissue they had noticed in a hotel room (they joked that they could have turned out to be the Kleenex Brothers). Don Reid sang lead; Harold Reid, Don's older brother, sang bass; Phil Balsley sang baritone; and Lew DeWitt sang tenor before being replaced by Jimmy Fortune in 1983 due to DeWitt's ill health. DeWitt died on August 15, 1990, of heart and kidney disease, stemming from complications of Crohn's disease. The band's style was closely linked to their gospel roots. "We took gospel harmonies," said Harold Reid, "and put them over in country music." The group remained closely tied to their gospel roots, with a majority of their records containing at least one gospel song. They produced several albums containing only gospel music and recorded a tribute song to the Blackwood Brothers, who influenced their music. The Statler Brothers also wrote a tribute song to Johnny Cash, who discovered them. The song was called "We Got Paid by Cash," and it reminisces about their time with Cash.

Kevin Costner And Modern West : Kevin Costner & Modern West is a rock/country band which Kevin Costner founded with the encouragement of his wife Christine. He began a worldwide tour with the band in October 2007, which included shows in Istanbul and Rome. It also performed at NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Daytona International Speedway and Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, NC. The band released their debut country album, Untold Truths, on November 11, 2008 on Universal South Records. The album peaked at No. 61 on the Billboard Top Country Albums and No. 35 on the Top Heatseekers chart. Three singles ("Superman 14", "Long Hot Night" and "Backyard") have been released to radio, although none have charted. Videos have been made for the songs "Superman 14", "Backyard" and "Hey Man What About You". In 2009, he went on tour with his band, the Modern West, and special guests The Alternate Routes. In August, at the Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta, Costner and the band were scheduled next on stage when a severe thunderstorm struck, collapsing the stage and stands on the main stage. One person was reported dead and forty wounded. Later, an auction was held to raise money for the two young sons of the woman killed. A dinner with Costner was auctioned off for $41,000. Two guitars, one autographed by Costner, helped raise another $10,000 each. In February 2010 Kevin Costner & Modern West released their second album Turn It On only in Europe. To support the album the band went on tour in Europe, which has so far resulted in Turn It On reaching the album charts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Greece. The first single from the album, "Let Me Be the One", with special guest Sara Beck singing with Costner, was also made as a music video. A third album, "From Where I Stand", was released in 2011 and featured vocals from German pop singer Nena. In late April 2012, the band will play a gala to benefit the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida.

** Deep Blue Something

1. Breakfast At Tiffany's  (  Lyrics  )    2. Josey    3. Halo

Deep Blue Something : Deep Blue Something were an American rock band known for their 1995 hit single "Breakfast at Tiffany's". The group was founded in 1992 in Denton, Texas, by brothers Todd and Toby Pipes; students at the University of North Texas at the time. The brothers enlisted drummer John Kirtland and guitarist Clay Bergus. Deep Blue Something originally performed as Leper Messiah, after the line from Ziggy Stardust. Bergus left the band before the band started recording their first album, 11th Song. The band independently released the album in 1993. Kirk Tatom joined the band after the album's release. In 1994, the band released their second album, Home via an independent label named Rainmaker Records. Home was re-released a year later by major label Interscope Records. The accompanying single "Breakfast at Tiffany's" reached the top five in the United States and number one in the United Kingdom. According to Todd Pipes, the lyrics of the song were inspired by Audrey Hepburn's performance in the feature film Roman Holiday, but he thought that the Hepburn film Breakfast at Tiffany's would make a better song title. In late-1995, Tatom left the band and Bergus returned to his role as guitarist. The band worked on their sophomore album titled Byzantium with a planned release in 1996. However, the Deep Blue Something came into legal troubles over the copyright of 11th song and "Breakfast At Tiffany's". As a result, Interscope put the album on hold. In 1998, the album was released only in Japan and some European countries. The album was currently available in the US. In the wake of the Universal/PolyGram merger, the band parted ways with Interscope. They later signed with Azera Records, an independent label based in Phoenix, Arizona. Their self-titled album, which contains five tracks from Byzantium, was released later that year. Shortly after the album's release, the band went separate ways.
